Michael A. Prochaska, ASLA
Principal
MAP Land Planning, Ltd.

Michael is a Registered Landscape Architect and established MAP Land Planning in 2013, he is responsible for the daily operation of the design firm.

Previously, as a Development Services Manager for Duke Construction in Atlanta, Michael supported the Healthcare Real Estate efforts in the Southeast, as well as Atlanta Office & Industrial Business Units. He was responsible for due diligence, site analysis and project feasibility, preliminary site design and master planning, infrastructure, coordination, submission and approval of site development plans with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.

Michael spent five years in Duke Realty's Cleveland Office before joining the Atlanta team in 2006. Prior to working for Duke Construction, Michael was a Project Manager for The C.W. Courtney Company, Cleveland; a Land Planner with Kekst Architects, Cleveland; and a Site Designer with Kinzler & Ritter/Land Planning, Philadelphia.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Ohio State University. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy Seabees.


Career Highlights:

Hudson Crossing Business Park, Hudson, Ohio - Master Plan, entitlement and infrastructure to support 1,240,000 sf business park on 130 acres while preserving 80 acres of category 3 wetlands.

Avery Dennison, Mentor, Ohio - Site plan, rezoning and entitlement for the construction of a new four-story office and research facility.

Center Pointe, Sandy Springs, Georgia - Acquisition, entitlement (zoning modification) and conversion of an existing 381,000 sf office campus to medical use. Including new ADA compliant front entry with canopy.

Primerica World Headquarters, Duluth, Georgia - Site planning and feasibility studies for a 350,000 sf corporate office building. Including entitlement, change in conditions and variance for surface parking, preparation of preliminary grading plans, earthwork calculations and retaining walls to balance a 31 acre site with 70' vertical elevation change.

Legacy Infrastructure, Duluth, Georgia - Revisions to the to the site Master Plan to incorporate Primerica, permits to impact wetlands and jurisdictional waters, Commercial Development Permit (CDP) to construct approximately one mile of new public roads with two traffic signals and a new bridge.

Northside Cherokee Hospital, Woodstock, Georgia - Selection and evaluation of site(s) for a new 100,000 sf Medical Office Building, including site investigation and due diligence for the purchase of an 8 acre site, preparation of preliminary site plans.
